Memories of My College Dormroom

The summer before I went away to college, I decided on the theme for my first room away from home. Claude Monet was it! I had a Monet-esque bedding, Monet posters, Monet calendar, you name it. It was quite a treat to see in person his original work that I cherished so much back then. It definitely renewed my love of his art, although I won't be running out to purchase any more posters. It has so much more meaning in the Musee de Orsay. Enjoy the paintings!

So am I the only dork who will try to guess at the obvious Van Gough? I am so under-educated and under-traveled that I actually was kind of proud of myself on this one......do I win a prize? A star for my forehead Miss Suzanne? Oh Gosh I have great new neighbor news so you must check your email soon. This is somewhat reminiscant of my time at the Riejks Museum (sp?) in Amsterdam. I had brought in one of those little disposable cameras and there I am shooting pictures of The NightWatchman for like a half a second before I was physically removed from the building by a very agressive guard. Not joking. There was no warning or second chances. My boyfriend at the time just left me outside the museum for 3 hours while he finished. Hmmm maybe he actually didn't know I was missing at the time? Anyway, it wasnt even that cool of a picture. He did confiscate my camera unfortunately so I don't even have proof of my high moments as a criminal....

Hang in there tourist..........:) Jode'
