On Saturday, we went to Champs Eleyess (I'm STILL trying to pronounce that one correctly) and climbed the steps of the Arc de Triomphe. As you can see, it was a rainy day. We still had fun. However, the French restaurant we went to did NOT have good food (other than the French fries - YUM!). And Jamie is right. We were approached by Romanian gypsies. They ask presumed tourists "Speak English? Speak English?" I didn't say anything at the time. Since then, Daniel and I have discussed that I really need to say yes in order to see what their next approach is. I'm not sure I'm feeling brave enough to do that because I envision the group surrounding me and taking my beloved passport. Do I sound American or what?! (Thanks for your comment, Jamie)

I hear Champs de la Eysse is a street with many many stores and restaurants. There is a perfume named after this street and it is beautiful. How fun to be there.

about the gypsies, good job! Never let them distract you from your belongings or what your doing. They will throw babies hoping you will catch them or drag themseleves on the ground as if they are crippled. I would give them a few bucks if they would just ask politely!!! Debbie from Calvary
