My cousin (Michele), her husband (Franz) and her daughter (Melodie) live in Paris. She was born in France before my aunt and uncle moved back to the States. They returned ten years later and she has lived here for most of her adult life. Because I have never visited before, I haven't had an opportunity to see her in her home environment. It's been good to hang out with her and get to know one another a little better as adults. We played together as children and have fond memories, but it's different to translate that relationship into adulthood.
Here we are last Friday outside the Georges Poidou, a modern art museum in Paris. We planned to go to a Hillsong church plant down the street, but were turned away because it was full (they recommended a second service, but the 9 PM time didn't work for our large party - I'll have to go back next week). Very good news in a place where the church has long been on a downturn. Disappointing because we wanted to experience what God is doing in the heart of Paris.
