The next essential comfort food needed was chocolate chip cookies. My sisters and I have a Thursday night tradition of making cookies together. I miss it already! Therefore, I decided that my cousins and I needed to make chocolate chip cookies. Again, this is not an easy feat because chocolate chips are difficult to find. We had success, once again, at Carrefour. However, the chips are half the size of regular ones and cost three times as much. I must say the quality is better. We are in France, after all!
You can see Michele and I making our respective batches side-by-side because I went into teacher mode. She was a good sport and we enjoyed our cousin time. The cookies got mostly rave reviews and we were told they tasted American.

PS It's another beautiful day!!!
I'm so glad you got your nachos. I really thought you were having them for the last time in Aptos--yummy. Today Caleb asked, "Do you think Aunt Suzie is having fun eating all those snails (escargot)?" I cracked up!
FYI, the ice cream cake turned out great thanks to your suggestions! I'll make it for you when you get back.
On behalf of my whole family, we love you and miss you! Your blog is great!
how about power bar nachos?
Greetings from Stockton! Jamie said to check out your blog, so we did! What adventures you are having on the other side- a real inspiration for us mostly armchair travelers. Enjoy God's beauty all over the world and this awesome experience!
Yay cookies! Yay nachos! Hooray for comfort food (Tom can totally empathize- remember Kauai?)!

Suzanne,
Awesome BLOG, but I have to admit I have no experience in BLOGGING. It is very interesting and I see a free spirit in your photos. Are you getting any runs in along the French country side? -Craig
