Our Day in Santillana del Mar, Spain

Santillana del Mar (Ray - you are SO the most well-travelled!) is a small village in northern Spain near the coast which was built in the 17th century. As you can see, it has been beautifully preserved. It truly feels like I was back in time. The cobblestone streets are very cool, although a bit difficult to walk on. I didn't go on my morning run here due to the fear of falling (well, not really the reason, but it sounds good).
When we arrived, we had an early dinner Spainard time at 9:00 PM. Others trickled into the restaurant between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM. What fascinates me is it doesn't feel that late.
The next morning, we walked through the town and then drove to the Museo de Altamira. The museum's main exhibition is the Cave of Altamira, a Palaeolithic site that recreates caves found with the earliest known art. Sadly, the first tour was full and we were unable to take the tour. Hence, no pictures
